Fiestas típicas de Bélgica

Alguna de las fiestas más famosas y típicas de Bélgica son:

- Fiestas del pan y el vino (Krakelingen y Tonnekensbrand): El día que comienzan estas fiestas las tiendas aparecen con unas típicas rosquillas de pan horneado conocidos como Krakelingen. En los colegios a los niños les cuentan las historias de esta fiesta y por la tarde se hace un desfile donde se reparte pan y vino. Por la noche todos suben a una colina donde se bendice el pan y beben vino, también queman un tonel de paja (Tonnekensbrand) para dar la bienvenida a la primavera.

- El festival del gato (Kattenstoet): Esta fiesta es de origen medieval. Los protagonistas son los gatos, pero la fiesta no es para homenajearlos ya que en la edad media los gatos se asociaban con las brujas y el demonio. La fiesta consiste en lanzar gatos de peluche por una torre y las personas de abajo cogerlos. Las personas se disfrazan como autenticos gatos y se hacen desfiles preciosos.

Il partito è composto da gettare una torre gatto ripieno e la gente li prende giù. La gente si travestono da autentici preziosi gatti e sfilate sono fatti.
